Friday is aerobics day and scout day in the school Perguruan Islam Al-Amjad and Today is the day that I am scheduled to teach in class 7-1 for 3 straight session. Use of technology is advised to us so I prepared a powerpoint presentation in my first teaching here in Perguruan Al-Amjad. I even translated my powerpoint presentation to Bahasa Language so that my students could easily understand what I am saying. Multiplication and Division of Integers is the first topic assigned to us.

The best thing about being a teacher is that it matters. The hardest thing about being a teacher is that it matters every day. - Todd Whitaker
At first, I experienced having a trouble in connecting my laptop to the projector and it wasted too much of the time. So I ended up having a traditional teaching for me not to waste too much teaching time anymore. I kinda felt sad at first because I translated my powerpoint presentation in Bahasa but I can’t use it. So there are time I still hold my laptop for the students be able to read and understand the Bahasa translation of everything I'm saying.. Moving on, I started with my motivational activity which is actually a game and at first the students don’t get it and they are still trying to understand my language but slowly as the lesson and session goes they are being active and participative in class. And, I ended our session by giving a worksheet where they would guess and read the tongue twister; almost all of the students are able to get it only 1-2 students are not able to get it. As a teacher, it is nice and it’s kinda fulfilling to see your students participate in your class. Also, it is amazing how students can easily understand the lesson given even if their is a language barrier. Numbers in math made everything easy in our communication. I enjoyed my first class and I can see in my students eyes that they also enjoyed the class.
