August 29, 2018 (Wednesday) - It's Mr. Arvin's last time teaching in class. Our supervisor also said that we should start saying our farewell to the students; and as we say good bye, we can see in their eyes that they got sad. "They all are asking when will we go back, why are we going.." As a teacher or a student-teacher, it's hard to say good bye and see students for the last time. But it is a part of being a teacher, letting go of your students and wanting a better future for them, praying for their personal growth also for all of them to be sucessfull in the future.
(Photos above are taken by me; the students suddenly ask if we could take a picture.)
(On the right are photos of the Origami I gave as an motivational activity in class 7-1 and most of the students gave it to me as a remembrance. )
August 30, 2018 (Thursday) - Thursday is no class day for the grade 7 teachers, so I and other sea-teachers decided to have some time with the students, we call this game "PING PONG PANG" and for those who'll got it wrong will have a mark using a white board marker. (Slide to see more phots)
August 31, 2018 (Friday) - In the morning, We are about to see and experience last aerobics day, last scouting ceremony in Al-Amjad and we we're asked to say a final speech. Some students were also able to say a speech to us. We all felt sad and thankful for the experience. Some students cried, some students asked for a hug, some students asked for a group picture. I am really lucky enough and very much thankful to experience this. (Slide to see more photos)
In the afternoon, We are to say our final goodbye to the headmaster, in the faculty room and to the CEO of Perguruan Al-Amjad. We're very much thankful for them, the indeed made our journey fun and easy. In the late afternoon, 3 of us sea-teachers decided to stay late in the school. Feel and look at Al-Amjad for the last time, and suddenly our attention was called by the admins of the school and they gave us souvenirs; asked us about our experience in their school. When It's time to go home, we actually are having a hard time because we don't know where to eat so It's a miracle and and answered prayer when they asked us to come with them and have dinner. It was indeed the best last school night in Medan.
Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to experience this.
