Curriculum
The Perguruan Islam Al-Amjad uses K13 curriculum which has 4 competence, namely attitude, social, knowledge and skill. This intend to balance the hard skills and soft skills.The former refers to knowledge obtained in the class, whereas the letter refers to attitudeand social competence in reality.The teaching and learning activities in the K13 applies the so called scientific approach. This outstanding approachh encourages students to arrive at the knowledge scientifically by observing, questioning, experimenting, associating and networking.
Teaching Plan (related to major)
In Al-Amjad, I was assigned to teach in Junior high school specifically in Grade 7. That is why, my first goal I have in Al-Amjad is to be introduced in the class I will be teaching. So, for the next days I tried to remember their faces and observed them inside and outside classroom. My teaching demonstration is about Integers and Fractions.
Together with, Miss Gayle and Mr. Arvin's ideas and I, myself as an lead instructional designer and my supervising teacher's guidance, I made 2 lesson plans under multiplying and dividing integers and comparing fractions as assigned topic to me. Addition and subtraction of fractions were made by Mr. Arvin.
